Freight Claims
If a shipment arrives with damage, please do not refuse the shipment. Please accept the material and sign for it as damaged with the freight carrier.
If you are the contractor, please alert the distributor you purchased the material from so they may begin the freight claims process. It is critical that the damage be reported within 10 days of receiving the material. Acuity Brands is happy to provide assistance with freight claims, but other manufacturers may require you to pursue reimbursement with the freight carrier yourself.
